Homeschool Support Groups

 

An inclusive and welcoming local support group that encourages its members to share its resources to create an educational and social support network that serves the Des Moines Metro Area. Our members represent the diversity of home education with their varied learning styles, parenting philosophies and personal beliefs We find value and strength in that diversity.  
 

An inclusive support group providing social opportunities, support, encouragement and information as needed. We strive for group opportunities such as potlucks, gymnasium play-days, maple syrup festivals, field trips, tours, etc. Serving Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty and all nearby Iowa communities.

Effigy Mounds National Monument (U.S. National Park Service)

Before Europeans arrived, a unique American Indian “Effigy Mound” culture developed in the upper Midwest building thousands of earthen mounds in the shape of animals across the landscape. Today, over two-hundred mounds are preserved intact here; thirty-one are effigies in the shape of bears and birds found along hiking trails.
